Toward advanced bio-based composites for a sustainable industry

Stakeholder Engagement and Standardisation Challenges

The THERMOFIRE project is pleased to announce the organisation of an online workshop bringing together European initiatives dedicated to the development of bio-based and advanced composite materials.

This 2-hour event will feature presentations from five EU-funded projects – THERMOFIRE, BIOUPTAKE, ALCHEMISSTS, BIONTIER, and FURIOUS – highlighting their approaches and innovations in sustainable composite materials.

A keynote presentation by experts in standardisation will provide insights into the challenges and opportunities related to bio-based and fire-safe materials, followed by an interactive workshop session to gather stakeholder perspectives on standardisation needs and engagement strategies.

This workshop aims to foster collaboration between research projects, industry stakeholders, and standardisation bodies to accelerate the adoption of sustainable composite solutions across Europe.
